Duplex Nailer Metabo HPT 36V MultiVolt 3-1/2″ Cordless

The all new Metabo HPT 36V Duplex Nailer

The all new Metabo HPT 36V Duplex Nailer

Metabo has released its battery-powered duplex nailer and claims to be the first in the industry. Using a duplex nail is ideal for temporary nailing on scaffolding and concrete forming. It allows for easy removal once you’re done with the use of the nail.

Currently, you can find pneumatic duplex nailers, but with a cordless duplex nailer, you can worry less about tripping on your air line and save time. If you do run out of juice there is an option to plug into an outlet with their corded AC adapter that connects to the battery as you use it.

The Metabo HPT cordless duplex nailer will accept a 36V battery, you can use their 2.5Ah battery and get 900 nails per charge, but if you’rere looking for more power using their 4.0Ah battery will get you 1200 nails on a single charge. A note to make is the 4.0Ah battery and the AC adapter with the cord are sold separately.

Final thoughts

With most power tools going cordless nowadays it’s nice to see a duplex nailer go cordless. No need for hammering your duplex nails manually, which in turn will save you money, time, and your body.

Metabo also claims their duplex nailer feels like a pneumatic nailer because of their air spring drive system which is great since the feeling is unique to air tools like a pneumatic nailer. Many people will be glad that there is finally an option for a cordless option on the market and this might influence other companies to make their own.
